Well today is my first day back since going on vacation last week. I went to the beach with every intention of staying on plan. I packed all my own food and took it with me. We ended up staying in a house next door to my Aunt and Uncle's house. Our house had not had anybody stay there in a long time. It was musty smelling and not kept-up very well. When I opened a drawer to get a spatula, a HUGE roach ran across the untensils and that was it for me. I couldn't do any cooking in that kitchen. I spent the next 5 days eating convenience foods (like sandwiches) or whatever my Uncle had cooked. I basically had a free for all. Although I did not go completely overboard and gorge myself.
I refused to weigh yesterday morning because I was scared. I just knew I had packed on 10 lbs or more. This morning I couldn't resist though and to my surprise, I was only up a couple of pounds. I can handle that. My weight loss had stalled anyway. I had been stuck at 162 even for about a week. Maybe this 'shake-up' will be good for me and I will drop below 162 soon.
I learned a lesson....I don't adjust well to changes in my life. I know that once I move out of induction, I will be able to more easily adapt to different circumstances. For now though, I am staying close to home and my 'set' schedule.
