So I sirvived yesterday which was the 1st day on 500 calories. A little headache and mental or emotional issues. I felt as if I should be craving but I wasn't. That is a big problem when ever I start a diet, BIG time cravings and I always end up gicing in. It takes me 2 or 3 attempts to realy get a diet going. So last night I got in bed and was soooo happy because going to sleep ment not thinking about the stress of day 1 anymore. My dad wakes me up and tells my husband and I that his mother is dying and needs to get on a plane to Mexico ASAP. We helped then with the tickets and talked about when we'd catch up with them and then it hit "cravings" I wanted cereal, or something crunchy and sweet and that's when I realized it was due to the stress and was all emotional. . .how sad and how wonderful that I was able to tell so clearly where that was coming from. I drank a glass a water and went to bed. Then I weigh this morning before taking my parents to the airport and I'v lost 6 lbs. I'm still haing trouble believing that loss :-D

Hang in there. You can do this. That big loss is totally normal. It's all water weight, but it should keep you motivated. The thing about this diet is you really don't have "cravings," but I think every diet is a "head" game. You have to really want this to be able to stick to this diet.

You are doing really great so far and learning to recognize what your body is telling you is part of the great thing about the hcg protocol. Keep up the good work and I hope your husband's mom gets well soon.

Welcome Aboard! You are doing great!! This diet is the best one I have ever been on. It really addresses your relationship with food and has taught me to make much better choices even when I was maintaining. I know that you will do well and what a great start!! :D Ellie
