Happy Thursday!

Tuesday night I took it easy on food since I was not feeling well and then E and I watched a movie. We are in the middle of a aliens theme. I did end up leaving work early and taking a 2 hour naked nap which seemed to help.

Wed I had my annual artery doc, and my annual physical plus 2 ultrasounds. I left the house at 6:30 and got home at 4. I also went grocery shopping. I was very tired when I got home so I just read my book, made dinner and watched another alien movie with E.

My OMAD was steak, baked potato and brussel sprouts. I couldn't finish my dinner so I had a butterscotch pudding for dessert. Well, I knocked that steak out, but I could not finish my baked potato, nor brussel sprouts. But I finished my pudding! I was amazed. I usually can only have a few bites of a smooth texture and then I gag. If I gag twice, well you can guess what happens.

My physical went well. I am only down 6 lbs from last year but my cholesterol went from 244 to 182! And my bad chol (triglycerides) went from 255 to 169! In March, my chol 190 and my triglycerides 215. Fasting and Kong May seem to be helping my triglycerides. Which is awsome news for my Fatty Liver. lol

Thankful:
MY hard work and pills are paying off. Get you gone, fatty liver!

Goal for day:
Exercise when I get home, and maybe finish my book :-)

Positive Thoughts:
The doctor's office might have thought I was a nut, but my cheeriness and dancing brightened their day. I like being me.

About 2 years ago I was surprised when my lab tests for cholesterol were high - all of the numbers. I decided to track how much cholesterol I consume everyday, it is a choice on the food entries, and to keep at or below 100. I gave up egg yolks, shrimp and beef for 6 months (cheated only a couple of times with a burger) and when the tests were run again everything was well within normal guidelines. So diet and losing weight is what worked for me, I think.

I do track Chol on FS. 255 last year was not my highest. I have been over 300. My mother, who is thin, had a Chol of almost 400 in her 50's. Her twin brother too. So, it is partly hereditary. I love how FS let's you pick and choose what to track. & It's free!

You mention “pills” .... are you on anti cholesterol medication? They are quite effective.

@Gail531 I have been on Chol pills for 4ish years. But the difference was the Kong May supplement. I believe that was what helped bring my triglycerides down, along w IF. I started OMAD 4/1 and the Kong May pills 6-8 weeks ago. My triglycerides have been super high since 2013 when I first lost 60lbs. I was having ice cream bars every night to supplement my low calorie meals. Plus, they were delicious. My triglycerides never recovered. After I gained all my weight back plus 35 more, it got worse, obviously.
