Today is my Spike day! Yay! I saved it for a graduation party for our daughter's boyfriend's brother. It's a long drive, especially for a RI'er, 50 mins.

Anything over 15-20 mins is a day trip or just too far so RI'ers won't go! It is definitely a Rhode Island thing.

Most of you would laugh out loud by the amount of stuff I pack "just in case" we need it for today because they are so far away.

2 extra shirts (each), extra socks, face cream, lotion, sun block, bug spray, extra water, extra pants in case I fall down, long sleeve shirts for both of us, a book & a back up book, & drawing stuff for E...That is off the top of my head.

And I am back to last week's weigh in. Double Yay! 3.8 lbs in two weeks is a very respectful number. I decided that my weigh in day will be Fri or Sat depending on my Spike day. I don't need to be rigid, this is not weight watchers. I got this! At my own pace, in my own style, because I know what works for my body and brain. & We all know, if your brain is not in this, it is not going to happen!

Yesterday was bittersweet. It was great being with family, but very emotional. All the flags were still up at the cemetery for Memorial Day, plus Pop had military honors. He was in the Air Force during WWII. The combination made me a emotional wreck. E doesn't cry, so I like to think I cry enough for him and myself. Lol

Yesterday's OMAD was a chicken salad melt with potato salad and a iced coffee. Sooooo good. But talking about Pops exploits was even better. 💖😘😁💖

I did not think "blunt" at all unless there was a deleted post I know nothing about. Lol I don't watch macros really. I can't drink alcohol, I never smoked, I never did drugs, I don't gamble. The major vices are just not in my repertoire. That is my justification for not giving up carbs. I know it works for a lot of people, but I don't want to. 😁 Thank you for the cheer on. It means a lot!

I am w you. I also found that if I limit myself too much, I get grouchy. And I like to be happy and jolly. This is the first time in my life I am not getting the hangries. Plus, I like being married and I like my hubby. There were times I was plotting his death because he needed to go to the bathroom before we ate, like those 5 minutes mattered if I didn't eat yet.
