bump98's Journal, 25 June 2010

So in the last 15 days I have only lost a few pounds. I could tell I wasn't loosing very much as there were no noticeable changes in my cloths or belt. I'm glad I didn't go up though. I'll take the little loss and will not give up. I'm also taking it easier due to my knees being sore. Again day by day.
358.6 lb Lost so far: 45.4 lb.    Still to go: 108.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Hey DJ.. i went through the same thing a couple weeks ago. What helped me is a week of ramping my calories up to 2000 and lower my exercise for that week. Then the next week I came back STRONG. Like hard core. I droped my calories back down to the 1200-1400 i was at before and I walked twice as much and didnt let myself slack at all.

As much as we all hate it, it's a part of the process. It is frustrating and demotivating BUT when you keep it up the results take off again. I think it's because we are so heavy that we are losing a little fat off of lots of places and we are really losing fat that we just can't see. In my case when I had no real loss for 2-3 weeks, I didn't see any change in my clothes, but then all of a sudden it seemed like I lost inches at once. In reality, I don't believe I could lose that many inches that quick, so I figure it's going away from areas we don't notice. Keep on the plan and you will soon see fantastic changes again. You are doing great. Enjoy the weekend!

Yeah I agree with Geo. My issue was three fold: Stress, undereating, and stagnant excercise pattern. Just keep it up and it will all work out man.

Thanks guys as always you are very motivating and encouraging. I'm a little disappointed however I will still take the 2.2 pounds lost as success.

Hey, we all hit plateaus in our weight loss. It's just your body getting used to its lower weight. You'll see it start to come off again. I had difficulty doing exercise at first, because I weighed too much to do my favorite activity - ice skating. The point is to not sit still. If you are doing a lot of desk work, try not to sit too still. Maybe you could put some tunes on the headset and "chair dance" (move your upper body and lower legs in time to the music). Don't get discouraged if your weight drops slowly. It took a long time to add those pounds, so it won't come off overnight. If it come off quickly, it will come back on just as fast. Stay the course!

I don't consider this a plateau as I did loose weight but thanks for the encouragement.
