I was surprised when I stepped on the scale this morning. It's still much higher than I'd like it to be, but it's down! 190.5. And Uncle TOM is here with no advance warning - no excessive tiredness, if I have bloat, I don't feel it, and if there is the usual water retention (goes with the bloating) I just might be looking at a lesser weight??!! We'll see in a few days.
Dietary changes I've made - nothing concrete, mind you, just things I've made different choices on - I'm still not getting a decent breakfast on most work days; days off are no problem. Instead of the deli chicken (yuck anyway), I've had Subway, or a turkey sandwich. Yesterday I had some chicken salad - had to lose the bun, it was nasty. Last week I chose seafood salad and crackers. Sometimes I had a Mt Dew, another day was lemonade and yesterday was tea. Otherwise, I suppose just portion control, trying to increase plain water intake also.
Actually I'm working on day 2 of no Dew at all. The challenge started a while ago, but I have 4 days off in a row - this is my opportunity to make it happen. The biggest obstacle is of course in the morning, but I have several CL mixes that have caffeine (more than I should have). There are also plenty of flavored teas here at the house - I just need to learn to like them more.
But today is not about diet, but about finances, so off I go.
