holy crap...11 lbs????!!!! I knew I'd gain some water from cheating this weekend but 11!!?? I've never gained THAT much....I only pigged out three days...ugh. Low carb really makes me question how much I've really lost sometimes because of the water weight you lose on it....ugh. I thought about waiting to weigh until the end of the week but decided I needed to scare myself straight so I wouldn't be tempted to let the bad eating continue this week

Stay strong. I ALSO gained 10 pounds in a 4 day period. For me this meant that after 10 days of fasting I only lost 1 net pound in a 16 day period! Yes, I was, as you may be upset! But, today is a new day :) As with all things, this too shall pass. What are our choices today?

Congratulations ...sounds like you put some serious effort into this past weekend! Seriously though, isn't it amazing just how unfair losing weight is compared to gaining weight?
Don't get too worked up. You got this!

it’s ok, your progress is fine, just get back to your regular diet regime and it’ll continue as normal. The water retention is even more present & comes back way easier especially when eating lower sodium/carbohydrates for an extended period of time, I’ve experienced the same thing long ago and had a 7lbs gain in about 2 days, but all was water weight & other non-body fat related “weight”. So no need to worry

The carbs may be causing inflammation in addition to the water weight. It may take a week to subside.

It's only water. Will go as quickly as it came on.

I hear you, and I understand, I didn't eat well at all yesterday, I got up this morning and weighed myself 7 pounds up, for me I just have to stop over doing it, if I want to get down to my desire weight (talking to myself) y'all pray that I get there, and you will keep there too, don't beat yourself up about, start back over on what works for you, to help get you down.

I have had a carb weekend and try not to weigh myself for a couple days. The water goes on quick but comes off quick when you have a couple days of Keto.

The bad thing about low carb, as soon as u eat carbs u will gain weight back rapidly

Sharon, the body needs water to process glucose, so when you go low carb the first 4-8 pounds lost is water. Of course, if you cheat, the water is necessary again. When you consistently stay low carb it will go away again. If you stay consistently under 20 carbs long enough, your appetite & desire to cheat will go way down/ your willpower will go way up. That's why so many people lose large volumes of weight on a ketogenic diet. It's nature's appetite suppressant when done correctly. 😊
