Thought I'd weigh in today since I was so happy with the number. Especially since I've been on prednisone for ten days now! I've also not worked out for almost 7 weeks, so I know some of the drop is simply muscle. But once I can work out again, it'll come back.
Doubt if any of my friends even check my journal any longer - can't say I would blame anyone! The absent friend here. Anyway, I've been doing well food-wise, for the most part. At least, I should say, I haven't done a lot of snacking. We're out of fresh veggies and I need a Costco trip or at least a grocery store trip soon. Haven't had a salad in a couple of weeks! Been unable to exercise first from a relatively minor surgery, then I had CO2 laser resurfacing done on my arms, face, neck and chest. ouch... Covered in Aquaphor and decided to use Dawn dish detergent to try to get it out. I ended up with a massive case of contact dermatitis. Thank God it didn't cover my face, but the rest of my treated skin was covered in welts, intensely itchy and red spots. Most of the itching is gone, the welts gone, but a lot of the red spots remain. sigh... will see my doc next week to continue treatment if the prednisone doesn't take care of it all.
My sister will be in town next week - sure hope my spots are gone by then. I don't even want to go to the grocery store, let alone go out somewhere. With it in the 100's, no way can I cover this skin up. Oh well... tough lesson learned. If anyone has any laser resurfacing done - deal with the Aquaphor mess! Do NOT touch and kind of detergent to your fresh skin! Lesson learned the hard way.
