Hi everyone -
TGIF for sure. I need to make it through this weekend. No binge eating. I will be driving 3.5 hours each way to visit my brother in prison. Well, it is hard to drive without eating and it's hard to visit someone in prison. It's stressful. The good thing is that they actually have some fresh salads in the vending machines inside so I can find some decent food to eat while I'm visiting.

I want to bust through 290. The only way I will is to stay on track. No binge eating tonight during the game or tomorrow during the drive. I have a dr appointment next Tuesday and I want to be down to show I did a good job losing since last time. Although I only lost about 10 pounds in 2 months, I will take it because it was a battle to even do that.

I hope all of you have a really nice Friday and weekend.
294.0 lb Lost so far: 58.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 4.9 lb a week

That is not an 'only'. That is good, steady, healthy progress, better than a pound a week. Don't diminish the accomplishment, it is something to be proud of for sure! Pack good snacks for the drive and perhaps even potion them (one portion for the drive out and one for the drive back). makes it easier to track what you are doing when on the road. Be safe on the drive and #GoPens!

I am almost at the same weight and feel a huge need to get past the 290's also. It is quite the mind game this thing called losing weight! We can do it...just remember all the times you wished your body was different, smaller, healthier, fit in clothes better, looked better without clothes and the most important thing, being able to be proud of yourself because you didn't stand out if you didn't want to. Get at it!

Thank you for the nice comments everyone. I went to the food store at lunch and ate a salad and then got a small package of cleaned celery, 1 serving size bags of carrots, and some seedless cucumbers for the drive. I also got a pack of chicken to cook for the week. So I think I will be ready to go!

@JLente thanks - yes I should be proud of losing. I guess the reason I have a hard time is b/c of the binge eating. I gained and lost the same 5 lbs at least 4 times! That is frustrating but as long as the end result is down I am satisfied. @Fatboy Keep working on it! All those things you said are definite motivators!

drive safe and have a good visit - I have a bag with pre measured snacks that I take with me to help avoid having to make food choices on the fly.

Shelly you are doing wonderful! You are learning to plan ahead! Just pack a snack for the unexpected on your drive, make sure you have water with you, and you know what to do for the game! You got this girl! LOL It takes extra time, but this goes back to the way our parents and grandparents used to prepare and eat when they went out. 🤷🏻‍♀️There wasn’t fast food on every corner. They packed healthy sh!t! LOL 🙋🏻 Try not to stress and enjoy your weekend and I’m sure the weigh in will go great! 🙆🏻‍♀️You are doing FANTASTIC!

WOW! Have you picked up 10 lbs. of hamburger meat. Its a lot. Enough to feed 40 people a quarter pounder. If you keep it up you will lose 60 lbs. in 12 months.

(((hugs))) I understand the stress, because I used drive six hours one way to show my girls what happened to their father. (We were divorced before he was sentenced) As soon as the last one turned 16, I told them to take themselves. It's a big deal to visit a prison, but you are learning how to deal with it! Know that we here on fs support you!
