28.5% BF. My goal is 25%, so I think I'm going to change my goal weight to 137 from 145. I hate to do this since I just "arrived" at my goal weight, but I feel like I'm falling short of my goal if I don't finish it off. So conflicted about this. I really wish I had measured my BF% when I started this. Scary what I would have been, but really satisfying, I'll bet.

I have an app that measures body fat. Should everyone be at 25% or is everyone different? How do you know what % you should be at? Good luck, that's less than 10 pounds. You accomplished your first BIG goal, this will be nothing :)

This is interesting--I've never really thought about worrying about the different measurements besides just overall weight. I went ahead and googled it. http://www.healthchecksystems.com/bodyfat.htm I'm sure that shmiller know's about it, but as for me and friendly, I think it's good info to know. As for changing your goal weight...look what you've accomplished thus far. Girl, you've got this! It's "just" 8 pounds, you'd be there in NO time.

Oops! That link didn't post correctly. Understanding Your Body Fat Percentage. www. healthchecksystems. com/ bodyfat. htm (No spaces! But it won't post correctly!)

I feel the same shmiller. I only weighed myself when I got started. I didn't even consider taking my measurements or checking what my body fat was. I wish I would have known to do that but at least you can say you have made it to your goal. That is awesome! Enjoy the moment. You have done a phenominal job!

Great BF reading and you're not far off your new goal! Did you measure your BF when you started?

Thanks, everyone. LaraStar, I didn't, but wish I had. :( I used an online calculator to determine how my body fat percentage translates into a goal weight. I used Fat2Fit Ratio. It's the same mathmatics as other sites, but it does the math for you, and since I'm an English teacher who hates math, this is good. The link won't work on a journal, but here's the URL: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/ibw/
