Sgt Eaglebeak's Journal, 13 November 2011

I began this journey on October 31, 2011 with no particular diet in mind, other than the discipline imposed by the Fat Secret App I downloaded to my Blackberry. So far, the wsimple proces of eating fewer calories than my set RDI has produced an average weightloss of about a pound per day. Keeping the daily calorie count below the RDI has been my primary focus but last week I initiated an intent to decrease the RDI, each Sunday morning, by 25 calories. I began with an initial RDI of 2500 which, as of this morning, I have arbitrarily lowered to 2450. I decided to initiate this weekly adjustment because I noticed that my daily calorie total was falling pretty well below the original RDI. My hope is that, by arbitrarily lowering my RDI in small increments, my brain will follow the subtle decrease and lower my intake as well.

I have also decided to sharpen my focus on my daily fat intake, with a goal of keeping my fat intake as low as possible; at least keeping my daily total intake of Fat grams under 20 g. In short, that is what constitutes what Fat Secret calls the Sgt. Eaglebeak Diet, at least for now. As I continue along this journey to a less obese me, I will make changes as they seem prudent.
