Rowanfair's Journal, 12 May 2011

It is sooooo good to be home and in control of my food. I had my favorite sausage florentine benedict this morning at my fave diner catching up with my girlfriend. (We have breakfast on Thursday most weeks.) I am very happy camper. The jet lag is even lifting. LOL So I should have some energy this weekend.

I was inspired (again) by visiting Murano's glass factories. I have a friend here who blows glass and it turns out the place she goes is like half a mile from my house and has classes. I'm going to take intro to Torchworking on Saturday. I don't think I will ever blow, but I would love to make beads and things.

Wow, it is nice to have some energy back after being sick for so long!

Glad you're feeling better. I'm sure the vacation was well worth it. My ex bro-in-law was a glass blower for many years. He has made some beautiful pieces. Have fun with the class. It sounds interesting.

Thanks ladies, it is good to be back. Definitely looking forward to playing with hot glass. :) If I can find some close toed shoes like they require. I am a sandal wearer all year long.
