Today I am down to 188.2.

I had a little trouble yesterday with my blood sugar. I wonder if the cherries I ate were the culprit or the homemade zucchini bread muffin. Early in the day I felt a little jittery, and late in the workday I got a headache which felt like eye strain. The headache through me off and I forgot to have my 5:30 snack to get me through my commute.

During the train commute I noticed that it was harder than usual to sway with the train. Then the train went out of service due to an emergency. I had found a seat while we waited but when I stood, my legs felt a little weak. There was no time to get worried about it, because I had to bike a few miles to get to a station past the accident.

The ride did exactly what I was afraid up and took a lot of the stored energy I needed to get home. I started taking escalators because it was becoming too much to carry my bike up the stairs. On my trip home I felt like I was peddling through sand. Getting up my front porch felt like climbing a mountain. When I got home I ate dinner and also had the snack that I missed and I felt better.

Today I feel exhausted from that episode and also wondering if I need some electrolytes. My sweat has not salt taste to it (weird!). I shall have a Gatorade and report back tomorrow.

Always have a bottle of water and a snack in your purse. You do not want to faint on the street. Maybe you need more complex carbs. I was so week when I was on my previous diet and I didn't eat enough carbs.

I also get lows with my BS, so I have to take Gluserna bars around with me when I get those devastating lows. You only eat them in emergency lows like you had get some and put them in your bag and carry them everywhere for those episodes

@downbythesea, my normal snack would be something in the 150 calorie range. Since my multi-modal commute is about an hour and fifteen minutes (includes two miles of cycling), the snack is usually a granola bar. @C67241, thank you for the support :-)! @snezica, thank you for the suggestion. I was actually good on the complex carbs since I had whole wheat shredded wheat as one of my snacks and edamame as another. And, I was surpringly more than good on the water consumption for once. But, I will make sure I have a Glucerna bar in my backpack from now on as recommended by @Jedediahbc. I forgot to pick up my Gatorade so I had an extra serving of edamame (low salted) and added half a pack of table salt to my water. It took awhile but I started to feel measurably better. I am a salty sweater, so it is concerning when I feel bad AND my sweat isn't salty.
