Good morning everyone! I was hoping to get a little extra sleep this morning but my son made sure that didn't happen. I must be especially wicked. I'm the kind of wicked person that picks up other peoples trash in state parks and carries it back to the trash cans, that saves abandoned kittens and advocates for disabled people. Be afraid, be very afraid.

Yesterday was day 2 of sticking to my intake plans, woohoo!! Very proud of myself. It's insane how much better I feel when the sugar blahs are finally gone. My pants feel huge on me again, and my self esteem came back with a vengeance. I was walking into the school yesterday to do my CPR skills check and a construction worked said good morning to me as I walked past... went straight to my head lol. The scale is now back to the same weight I have logged here. Three days ago it said 189. Five pounds in three days?? A lot of water goes into glycogen storage, and I was feeling all bloated and nasty. Just goes to show how long it takes to put on true fat pounds, because those certainly were not fat pounds.

A couple new things I've come up with over the last couple days...

Chicken wings! I was craving the crap out of them lol. So I mixed two tbsp of light ranch with a couple teaspoons of franks red hot and dipped chicken breast strips in it. Delicious!!! High protein, low cal.

Spaghetti. It was all I had to make my family for dinner. I've been avoiding pasta because of those carbs, I've tried and hated all of the alternatives. So I decided to just go for it. I weighed out my two ounces of dry pasta and cooked it separately, measured my sauce and weighed my beef that went into it. I expected to be left feeling unsatisfied and still hungry, but it was a rather large portion. I was excited about that lol. And what's better, it was a large portion for under five hundred calories. I don't know why I was trying to find substitutes for pasta. When I planned it out and went low on carbs all day to save for it, it actually worked out beautifully. I won't make it a weekly thing, but still.

Avacado It's in season lol. I Love avocado, so when I opted for subway yesterday for lunch I had a scoop of it on my sub instead of mayo or other dressings. It's only sixty vitamin packed calories. MMM MMM.

So those are the thoughts I've been forgetting to share in the midst of all this chaos. Another day in paradise for this girl. I have a graduation party and a birthday party to attend. No worries, I will be mindful and avoid calorie dense salads and shit. No cake and ice cream for this woman either, so many desserts lately. It will be a busy day. Hoping to get a long walk in this morning before I officially start my day.

The services for my friend are going to be on Tuesday. It's going to be hard to say goodbye, but I don't have to juggle my weekend around it. I know that sounds selfish...

Thank you all for the kind words, support and prayers. It means more to me than you know <3 This is one hell of a community, you are all very real to me :)

Hope you all have amazing weekends!!

And sheees baaack!! Way to get back on track, Yolanda! I love your personality traits and that you're so "wicked"! I think we'd be good friends in "real life". 😜. Thanks for the musings - I like the reminder that we can have pretty much whatever we want - just need to count it out and watch the portions. It's so true that now the smaller portions do fill us up! Have a great day!!

Hi Ms. Wicked. I love avocados as well and I really like taking half of one and filling it up with a mix of cottage cheese, dices mango, sweet onions and a not so hot Jalapeno peppers with a drizzle of thick balsamic on top. Really nutritious and totally delish.
