High calorie day. Decided to doctor up the cored strawberries by stuffing them with 4-5 chocolate chips and topping them with a teaspoon of whipped cream. Who knew that 2 Tbsp. of semi-sweet chocolate chips would be 140 calories and the cool whip would add another 100 calories? It was a big hit with everyone, but I sure won't do that again - or at least IIII won't eat any of them.

I've been very faithful in recording everything I eat. Four Doritos here. A couple of cherries there. I've changed the way I'm recording my cabbage to logging it as "no fat added in cooking" but then recording an extra Tbsp. of butter for each bowl I have.

Have a new stressor, but I don't want to get into it.

Try Reddi-Wip in a can instead of cool whip....15 calories for 2 tbsp.

You can whip milk (2cups) stabilized with 2 Tbsp gelatin, pinch of cream of tartar and monk fruit sweeter (1 Tbsp) beat about 4 minutes. Dark chocolate is good for you so sub high sugar swiss processed chocolate for dark like Simple Truth organic 72% cacao (80kcal), Ghirardello 60% cacao bitter sweet (80 kcal), Private Select 62% cacao dark (80 kcal), Ghiradelli 100% cacao unsweetened (80kcal) or Baker’s 100% cacao unsweeten (70kcal). Food is not forbidden rather occassional as you did or better learn to make small adaptation. I use whey powder 1 scoop flax seed 1 Tbsp, cocoa powder 1 Tbsp and berries 1 cup whipped together and frozen for 20 minutes as soft serve ice cream - completely health dinner on a hot day.

I just use fat-free cool whip or fat-free reddi-whip, which has less calories and taste the same. I don't think you have much to worry about. An occasional high calorie day isn't going to impact your diet that much. The only time it can impact the diet is if you have frequent or everyday high calorie days. If you can do some cardio exercise for 45-50 min., it will help to keep the "ooopseies" from adding to your figure. Not saying the exercise will make you immune to calories, but it really helps.
