Do I REALLY want to admit that I'm back to where I started 2.5 years ago? No. Do I think finally admitting it will perhaps help me get my butt in gear and get serious about losing weight again? Hopefully. I got my treadmill, started out great, then a bunch of crazy life things happened and I got tired and distracted. Then I keep injuring my foot--don't know what's up with that. At least once a week, but the end of the day, a large bruise has appeared on the bottom of my foot and it is sore for 2-3 days afterwards. That's at least half of every week that I'm limping around. Limping makes any walking difficult, let alone exercising on my treadmill. Of course, that is no excuse for my eating. I've completely stopped thinking about calorie and nutrition intake, just eating whatever sounds good. When I'm done eating, if that ended up not being satisfying, I find myself at the pantry or fridge looking for something else, even though I'm most likely full from what I just ate. I've become an eating-machine, wanting to munch all day long! However, I went to the grocery store last night, and made myself buy healthy food. I even put back the strawberry-cream cheese tarts from the bakery that looked SOOO delicious. Definitely proud of myself for that, it's a start!! Tomorrow is Relay for Life and I am determined to walk the whole time I'm there!
Anyway, hope everybody has a great weekend. Here's to hoping for success!

Everybody gets off track at least one time or another, and having a bum foot is difficult, I had that problem a couple years ago. But it sounds like you're ready for a new start and new starts are great, today is the perfect day for it. Best wishes to you on starting out fresh and Relay for Life tomorrow. :)

Start small by just dropping your refined foods (which will probably significantly drop your sugar (carbs) and sodium -- two evildoers in weightloss. You can do this!

Good on you for getting back on the wagon! I had the same problem my foot when I was only using the treadmill. A lot of people have an uneven stride on a treadmill which can cause pressure on areas of your body like the knees, hips and feet. Make sure you have correct trainers for you too. Why not try different forms of exercising, I also got bored with just cardio or the treadmill. Why not try pilates, free weights or weights at the gym too. There is plenty of great stuff I have found online I could share with you and it's exactly what a personal trainer would show you. Keep trucking:)!

I know what you mean about the wanting to eat everything. I started out my weight loss journey like that too. But if you keep mindful of what you are doing, those feelings will become less. Mind you, I still have the odd day where I want to eat and eat. As for your foot, owww that's gotta hurt. Have you gone to the doctor? Maybe look into some insoles? Good luck and keep trying!

Hi Hollipop, It sounds very familiar to me. I can't tell you how many timesI have been in a similar situation!! I am also having problems with my heel. However Its been diagnosed as plantar fasciitis. It causes a lot of pain when you try to stand up. It subsides throughout the day. However if you do any amount of walking, then sit down, it is painful to stand again. Perhaps you may have something like that. I have been trying to drink more water to keep full. Try chewing gum...that helps a little. Best of luck and hang in there.
