Yeah it sounded like you needed a big fix of that (carbs). How long are your rides? Is it flat, hilly etc.? I live across the street from the beach and there is one bike path I can ride 20, 30 miles if not more. I always wondered how to determine my calorie burned riding. I'm asking how you would in my shoes because you're the obvious expert along with Jp. I ride every day, a minimum of 5 miles. I begin at my home and do a big loop. I ride maybe 11 or 12 miles per hour but there is always a breeze or wind that I experience for half of the ride. Sometimes it's 10 or 15 miles per hour that I'm heading almost directly into. How would you calculate calories burned? Would you take half the trip and move up the MPH since I'm sure their calculations are based on no wind and flat land?

hi madanjen...i'm not sure. i usually use the fatsecret application. where i live it's flat with some hills. depends where you go. i live on the coast as well but there are some nice hills. i use strava as well to calculate calories but was told by friends this past weekend it's not accurate. so i'm not sure. i use fatsecret as a guide. my rides vary - 2-3 hours right now.

That's a lot of riding! I'm at about a half hour in the morning and maybe 20 minutes at night.
