I used to exercise a lot up to my late 40's, I have done sports since I was 9 and now due to disabilities I cannot exercise due to fibromyalgia http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Fibromyalgia/Pages/Symptoms.aspx
I am down to 1200 calories a day to see if I can lose weight to help my joints
