Rowanfair's Journal, 08 February 2011

I went out to an Indian buffet at lunch. It was sooooo good. But I have no idea how to accurately record what I ate. And I probably ate too much because I have been feeling deprived a bit by not going out for lunch anymore. My old strategy for not over eating at Indian buffets was to hit one at least once a month so I could tell myself I'd be back soon.

Today the vegetarian section had all my favorite vegetables - cauliflower, eggplant, spinach and mushrooms. I had a taste of each and some chicken makhani. Partly I *love* Makhani and partly I know that since it is based on butter instead of yoghurt it is more likely to be on plan. But who knows what this particular chef does, eh?

I want a Star Trek tricorder device that I can point at my food and get a read out of the ingredients. Wouldn't that be cool!?

Oooooh...I am so craving Indian food now. Thanks A LOT, lol! :) I'm so suggestible, particularly at this time of day, and I also LOVE chicken makhani. Our local Indian restaurant owner used to know us by name (and order - 2 chicken makhani, rice, naan, 1 mango lassi)... Seriously. I want Indian food... Also, I love the idea of getting our very own tricorders. I keep hoping that Google Goggles (the Android app) will do that, but I'm thinking that the technology is still a long way off, sadly. LOL!

Hey Mammasix, thanks for asking. Well, I am back at work although I haven't quite managed a full day. This morning I feel like I'm feeling a lot better. But I have season tickets to the theatre so it will be a very long day and I'm not sure my energy is sufficiently back yet. So I'm hoping for a nap after work and on to the play. :)

OOOOHHHHH a tricorder...that would be awesome! I could just point it at my plate, it would tell me the numbers, and then record them for me and an alarm would sound if I was going over! Of course there would have to be a mute for the alarm! lol Glad that you enjoyed your lunch. I have never eaten Indian food...no such restaurant anywhere near where I live....we are lucky that we have Mexican other than Taco Bell, and a chinese buffet!! lol
