euheide's Journal, 11 April 2014

The weight has gone up but it's still within my best recent results (before this latest surprise) in my recent weight logging history, for which I'm happy. I was kind of expecting this surprising progress to rebound at any moment :)

Inaccurate body fat percentage from body composition scale: 7.4 % (good within the usual results)

Inaccurate waist measurement across navel: 79.7 cm (I think this has gone up a bit but still great comparing to a few days ago)

I'm now officially having to make breaks between the sets (oops, breaks between "reps", not "sets") in the Ab Challenge (today is day 10)

Yesterday, it was Back, Biceps and Forearm day in my split training. Today is shoulder, abs and core day (Of course that I'm currently participating in the ab challenge so, everyday is ab-day for now lol). I still haven't incorporated core exercises into this day yet but it's already predicted in the title lol and it will become practice in a week or so, after I research some core exercises. :)

lol true ;) but I wonder why I do not feel it in my lower abs yet? I NEED to feel it there, thats where I need it most. I feel it in upper abs... wonder if I am doing the leg raises wrong.. plus they are killing my back. Any suggestions?

I put my hands flat under my bottom (make a triangle) this seems to take pressure off my lower back. Plus when planking make sure your bottom isn't sticking up that way you should feel it in your lower abs and right around the love handle area! It's all about the bottom lol;-)

I was just thinking another good exercise to add to the ab challenge would be the dish which is like an upside down plank on your back with arms raised behind your head and legs raised. Like a banana. Sorry you guys probably know what a dish is it's just i had to have it shown to me when i first did it at gymnastics hence the silly description. Lol.

Thank u so much!! And NOOOO I never heard of the dish before!!! Explaining it saying it looks like a banana made me laugh and picture it where I know what Im doing. Thank u!!!

I think that's the way to go Njashka :) I hope you had a good rest day! Leg raises are horrid indeed! ahahah. You did gymnastics? That's awesome! I guess that's possible that it's contributing to your performance! But it's still impressive considering some years have probably passed since then! The exercise discipline must have remained :)

I'll also try those tips Njashka! :) From your description, the dish exercise seems like it must definitely impact the abs. It doesn't seem easy just thinking about it lol :)

No it's hard but it's really good for the lower abs and the lower side ab muscles that look really hot when they are nicely formed with no fat left over them lol lol lo:-) not that I have them:O:'(.yep I did gymnastics, ice skating and ballet for about 10 years!

I could barely handle athletics (I was close to giving up on it several times, but I was encouraged to stay by a friend who was also doing it lol).

I started at 4 years old so it was just normal to do it all. Athletics is great and it's so much more fun with a friend i agree!
