Chickturu's Journal, 25 February 2014

Today a co-worker shared a delicious lunch with me, which is a traditional Filipino dish. Even though it is not high in calories, it is in carbs... so I had more than enough carbs for the day already.

Carnival season kicks-off this week in my area. Which means: thursday party the whole day, friday half of the day, and saturday again the whole day. I'm not going to celebrate on friday, but thursday and satruday I cannot avoid, otherwise I risk to be considered 'socially awkward'. Although these parties are fun, they are not good when you are on a diet; people are expected to eat and mostly drink a lot. I'm trying to figure out how to survive those days without overgoing my RDI.

Today has been a stressful day at the office; but on the postive side, the business day is almost over for me. Can't wait to go home and do some exercise to release the stress!

Parties can be fun. Eat something before you go so you will not be hungry. If someone wants to give you food, just say I ate already. Just be there, talk and smile a lot. Everyone else will be worried about their own food and drink, not worried about what you are having or not having. Good luck staying within your RDI!
