I missed my friend Stephanie's Christmas Eve dinner this year because of sinus headaches and reactions to the latest round of antibiotics. I sent along some cauliflower salad which all came home because there was just so much food. I don't mind having it to nosh on.

Kurt & Marina's Christmas dinner was fabulous. There were two of us low carb diners on the guest list and they made sure we were well taken care of... right down to splenda cheesecake for dessert. Despite having *way* more food at once sitting than I have been accustomed to having since I started this WoE I was well within my carbs and calories for the day.

And this morning I was still 176.0! So I am totally on track for 175 by my birthday. It is funny though. At my heaviest I didn't really feel as unattractively fat as I do now as it is coming off. I will be interested to see what it feels like when I finally get to 150-155. And I wonder if it will make me look much older. I have seen that happen to people who have lost a lot of weight. I am at that stage of life when one's skin isn't as resilient and poreless as it once was. Maybe it is just the birthday anxiety showing up, but I am feeling out-of-sorts about myself. Of course, having a sinus infection for four months isn't helping. My energy isn't what I want it to be and I haven't been able to keep up with exercise.

I have been trying to think if I actually have any New Year's resolutions. I almost want to say "I resolve to be kinder to myself and others" and let it go at that.
