I knew the shirabati noodles were not going to be my thing when I read the package and saw to rinse well to reduce the authentic aroma. They don't smell "bad" exactly... Just not much like anything edible. nothing much to say. I slept all day. Again.

They don't really have a taste... just a smell. So if you don't breathe there isn't really any flavour. The smell is kind of mushroom/dirt/leaf litter not anytime totally nasty. Just not food-like.
OTOH, I woke up in the night with a horrible stomach ache and I am pretty sure I got kicked out of ketosis. But I may also be sensitive to soy. I have avoided it for years after a bad run-in with tofu. No more soy noodles for me for sure.
