I have just discovered how many calories I burn according to my weight in an hour doing household activities: washing dishes: 148 calories per hour, I will have my house shining since today 😛haha

those numbers are crazy, I see people put those calories burned in their diet plan and really messes them up thinking they actually burn all that sitting or resting all day. Maybe someone that works out regularly and has built up the muscle mass, but overweight and doing nothing is crazy to depend on it.

I know, it's crazy, I have seen that persons here too: " reading a book:--------calories"
I don't really know how many calories I burn, some days I am really active and others lazy lazy , I exercise because I love the way my body looks when I do it and how it makes me feel, and about cleaning up, I got to do it burning calories or not , but it is still a great motivation to clean my house haha

Also, if you hand wash dishes instead of using the dishwasher, it takes more time and energy. But dishes for two X 3 meals is more like 30 minutes (it depends on who has been snacking all day and leaving the dishes!) also, how elaborate the meals

Got rid of our dishwasher when we remodeled the kitchen. Only the two of us here & our small kitchen needed more drawer space. If doing dishes by hand burns calories, I'm not seeing it happening. Guess I need to make hubby eat more snacks and dirty more dishes for me to wash.🍽️🍵🥛🥃🍛🍳🍲🍺🥄🍴😁
