cookiecallaghan's Journal, 17 January 2012

Perhaps it's just me, but I find it quite time-consuming to upload everything I eat to the calorie counter. I am making changes to my diet and watch what and how much I eat, but to be honest I don't think I can be bothered to keep a food journal... working full time and studying part time it's hard enough to find time for exercise. :/

I know what you mean. I may stop doing the food journal, just do the regular journal and try to keep up on my buddy's posts.

I personally live by the food diary. It gives me a sense of control. Eating too few calories can stall weight loss too and by using my food diary I noticed some days I wasn't eating enough. I found it a pain at first but the scanner works really well provided you have good lighting and I "save meals" since I eat a lot of the same meals so that I can just pull it up quick. I will also sometimes enter my lunch and dinner ahead if time as a way of planning. I'm less likely to indulge when my meal planner is all written up already! It's not worth cheating bc then I'd have adjust my food diary. Gives me enough time between food in hand to food in mouth to stop and go get a glass if water! Just thought id share a few ways the app works for me :) good luck!
