redwinelover's Journal, 01 November 2011

Just opened the FS site and saw I FEEL LIKE CRAP. Which, as bad as it sounds, brought out the first hint of a smile in me today. At the risk of sharing a bit too much information, hubby was in downstairs bathroom, so I ran up the stairs to the master bath and slammed the door (yes, one of those kinds of mornings :D). And just a minute too late, my daughter yells through the door - don't use that toilet - the plunger's in the other bathroom (where my son was showering)! Oh Lord. Not really thinking it was plugged up, I guess, I flushed. Yep, fatal mistake.

Needless to say, this is up there with one of the most disgusting ways to start the day. Even though I've practically bathed my hands and feet in almost straight bleach, I can't get the mental picture of ... poo water on my skin. ugh...

Well, breakfast will be delayed for a while this morning. Chalk this up with things that make you go "beu-ooh-ooh-ooh" >_<

hahaha... yep, bring on tomorrow! Can't believe I have yet another poo story for today. After a huge Costco trip (huge!!), as I'm putting everything away - which entails moving a ton of stuff in the little closet under the staircase - my daughter tells me there's cat poo on the carpeting. Okay...now WHY would a 21 yr old TELL me this and not clean it up? Especially as I was still in the process of hauling all these groceries from the car to the house and then away... sigh... yes. Bring on tomorrow! lol An ick - poo stuck to a dog's bottom can't be much fun, either. Good thing we love our pets so much! :D

Never ceases to amaze me how adults work around poo....LOL I love as well how they can sit around and watch you cart in all the groceries after having done the huge shop, you then bring it all in and put it away. I have another poo story OMG what have we started, I was at my girlfriends last week my hubby called me in a right state, our dog had diarrhea on the carpet twice he said and threw up, he was furious and no he wasn't going to clean it up it is awful.....wah wah wah......so had to leave my friends, drive 1/2 hr to get home, I couldn't believe it I swear the tiniest little mess on the carpet.....wtheck....I was furious........cleaned it up in a couple of mins wouldn't even know there had been anything.......now that annoys the heck out of me......

lmao! Men! I swear for such testosterone laden individuals, they can be SUCH babies sometimes! And I don't know... call me weird, but I'd much rather deal with animal poo than people poo! Okay... if you can stand it - ONE more poo story! lol... Doing a load of laundry one night about a month or two ago and when it got to the drain cycle, I suddenly heard noise in the adjacent bathroom...gurgling noise. I ask hubby- What's that gurgling noise? We then hear splashing noise. Jump up, turn on the bathroom light and the water is just GUSHING out of the toilet. The floor is flooding quickly, it's moving on out to the family room. I'm busy folding back the wool rug and trying to disconnect one of the tower theater system speakers as he's grabbing towels all over. The water wasn't JUST laundry water... it'd backed up where the drain met the main drain and came flooding back up through the toilet. The water was ... uh... NOT clear. Semi- tannish colored...(okay, let's be honest here - it was watered down poo!) Thank God my husband was able to turn off the water supply to the house quickly and figure out where the plug was outside where the drains met and got it unclogged. But yuck... what a horrible mess it was! I've used a LOT of bleach recently! sidenote - the rug and speaker were spared :D

LMAO omg that is not a bit funny......oh I can't imagine glad to know that your rug and speaker were spared.....I can't stand those days when I know we are going to have water or a plumbing problem I know it's going to be a long day......cleaning up as you say bleach to the rescue....what would we do without it and I am like you.....for a few days scrubbing my hands....funny enough I just bought new rubber gloves for just those days......Be prepared.....LOL......Good job you knew the cause.......

Oh and so glad that hubby got that transmission out...fixing cars these days takes a college degree plus...sheesh, what happened to the good ol' days when you could take it apart and fix it yourself without the 5,000 page manual!?!?!?! I get so disgusted...and discouraged!

Hi Stef! Good to hear from you. Yeah, I know... it's almost like they've tried to make cars where the average mechanic can't work on them! So many specialized tools, too little room... Oh well. Hopefully this weekend he can get the new transmission in and get that car running again. I know our daughter will appreciate not being "stuck" at home. good luck with the changing out of the toilet guts. And I know what you mean - you know it's clean water... but it's still "yuck"! lol

Oh Yvonne... you're killing me with poo! lol... So sorry to hear you've stepped in it... warm and squishy... gross. Like I said before, it's a good thing we love them so much! But then again, who else continually gives us nothing but love and wants only a kind word and a few strokes? hahahha Okay... not sure how that came across! I, sadly, have no more poo stories today :D

Oh, Yvonne, that is yuck...yuckier even than having the cat puke up a hairball over night and stepping in cold and squishy upchuck in the morning, while heading to the bathroom! lol D, just stopping by to say howdy! The 50 something started with Carol when she was saying that 50 isn't so bad, and that she thinks she is still pretty good for a 50 something woman! lol Love ya, my wonderful, beautiful, 50 something friend! <3<3<3<3

I have a difficult enough time as it is when it's in the BACK of my mind! :D And okay, if we're going to go to upchuck and hairballs... girl.. I can tell you some stories! :D But I won't. Let's just leave at my poor kitty has a hairball problem and a very delicate constitution. Gonna go visit you now.. take care my friend!
