Ashley Sewards's Journal, 28 March 2016

I'm pretty upset right now. I did something to my lower back and now its been hurting for the past 2 days. How am I supposed to exercise with back pain? Ugh!! I'm hoping the pain goes away soon, but who knows if it will.

I did a Denise Austin workout that was 16 minutes the other day (before my back pain started). I had planned on doing it everyday, but now I don't know if I'll be able to. It's just so frustrating when your body starts breaking down on you.

I stuck to my Easter plan of just eating one plate full. I did have two Easter dinners though, one at my boyfriends house on Saturday and one at my grandmas house yesterday. And I did have a plate of leftovers last night at about 1:00 a.m. So that's not good. I'm pretty mad at myself for that. But my refrigerator is FULL of leftovers and it's so tempting. And I was hungry last night because I ate at 4:00 p.m. and that was all I had ate for the whole day.

I was just curious this morning to see what I weighed, so I did weigh myself and I've gained 1.8 pounds since my last weigh in, which was 4 days ago. I'm not that concerned about it, but it still is frustrating that I gained and didn't just stay the same weight. lol. I will record a weigh in 3 days from today, which will be Thursday. I'm hoping it will be below 217, but we will see. Fingers crossed. I'm not going to eat leftovers that late at night again that's for sure.

Put ice on it as much as possible. I know it doesn't feel good, but it will get you straight in half the time.

dont work any lower body. Just do some upper body stuffs..it helped me when my back was acting up .. and like warren says, ice packs help. I iced my back down right before working out.. helped alot paired with ibuprofen 800 mg every 4 hrs 3 times a day but not for more than 3-4 days.. after that you may need to see a dr .

Ice is good I agree, although sometimes heat feels better. try gentle work outs, or walking...thats what my chiro recommends. I agree if the pain does not go away in a few days, see a doctor or chiropractor.

This may be a shot in the dark but try yoga. When I started to have lower back pain, yoga helped me tremendously.
