I'm actually doing the 1/2 marathon training on the coolrunning.com site... it kicks you over to activetrainer.com but you have to pay for the training stuff on there. Yeah I have a couple of friends who did the couch 2 5k program and really liked it. I got into running doing pretty much what they have you do... I just didn't know there was a program out there. =) That would be awesome if your husband would do it with you... so much more fun if you have a partner. As for the rain...thanks, Friday on is suppose to be beautiful. =) Hang in there.

I dont know how you girls do it. Do you use an ipod? What keeps you going? I try and run and I can't get past 2 miles. I get so bored. What's the secret???

When I was on a treadmill just getting started I use to watch movies, listen to the radeo or even talk on the phone. When I changed to go outside I would make a different play list for every day that I ran. Now... call me silly but I actually use the time to pray. No distractions... just me and God. =) Makes the time go by so fast and then I don't feel as much like I'm exercising.

Music is definitely a motivator for me - I get into a song and before I know it - I've run farther than I had planned! That's the site I checked out Sheila - Monday will be day one! I am keeping my fingers everyone in the house is healthy by then!! OH - and thanks for being my very first "buddy"! :) I am really enjoying this site and all the tools it offers.....
