Well, damn, the highs and lows of life, huh? Had a rough night with my daughter - man is she stressed out! Her last semester of college and she's really hoping to graduate summa cum laude so the pressure is really on. She's always stressed herself out too much. But last night? Eh... ridiculous. Anyway, rough night for me, for all of us, actually.===================================================================================================================================(having issues still and cannot make new paragraphs without the page crashing, so this is my new paragraph! lol)================================================================ And then I wake up at 2:00 with the icky feeling of having to pee, but not the usual feeling of having to pee. Oh damn... I knew where this was going! I had a UTI years ago - the only one I've ever had, but you never forget them! It was BAD. And yep, I'm sure I have one. Debated going to the doctor and decided to just do it. Yep, that's what I have. Lovely. So I'm on Cipro for five days and holy cow... ever read the list of things that can happen with this stuff? The doctor told me to be VERY careful working out - that tendon problems - pain, swelling, tearing can happen on this stuff AND for a few months after. So no running, no real weight bearing exercise for the time being. Anyway, there was a bunch of other stress surrounding this - some elective surgery scheduled a week from today, issues as to whether that has to be cancelled. And if so, will it interfere with the three day resort stay we have planned and paid for at the end of next month if this has to be postponed, etc. The doc said I would be fine, the Cipro wouldn't interfere with it and I should be good to go by then. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. And knock wood, so far, this has not been a bad UTI.

Cipro is what I always get, I have never had any major issues with it but then again I am usually way to sick ( I tend to get UTI followed by a kidney infection) to even really move lol Hopefully you feel better soon!!

Thanks, Pixi! I'm hoping having started antibiotics within 9 hours of being aware I had something will help keep it from going to my kidneys! So far, so good. I finally understand how some people can have a bladder infection and not know it. My only other time there was NO mistaking it. Probably more like what you've described. It was horrible. So sorry to hear you get them frequently. So hard on the body!

Thanks, Bren, I will. I don't care for taking lots of meds, especially when you read all the potential side effects! Ugh... kidney stones! I had gallstones that felt like they were gonna kill me. Dealt with that for about six months til I ended up in the ER one night. Still not totally happy I had my GB removed, but whatever... no going back! Hope you're having a good day... sounds like a nice, relaxing weekend you have planned! Hope you find lots of good movies to enjoy. Oh! And try the bath with the glass of wine (or two).. Was wonderful for me.

Hi Bren... glad you got the internet back! I am so lost without it. Funny that you were thinking of wine and a bath, too! Yep, great minds :D I don't remember mentioning my birthday... must have? I just re-read my last couple of entries trying to see where I'd mentioned it but didn't. So maybe your psychic? lol Thanks for the birthday wishes. Hope you had your bath and glass of wine tonight. Oh, or maybe while you relish your weekend time alone? That would be a nice plan.
