Happy Hump day FS Peeps! 🦆

Well, I'm still on a medical diet (boring, I know). Basically, no fiber, mostly liquid and now the antibiotics have restricted me from dairy. Woohoo, another food group out the window! I've found bone broth and peeled boiled potatoes almost taste like gravy (if I delude myself enough). Still, it has some flavor and nutrition so I'll take it!

On a mostly liquid diet, there isn't a lot out there because it also has to be 'clear' liquids. At this point I'm much more concerned about nutrition than calories (I'm struggling to get enough with the harsh restrictions). BUT, I did find a 'clear' version of Ensure which offers vitamins and minerals. Not going to lie, it's SWEET! At 180 calories, it could be a lot less sweet, but I can at least get some good stuff in me. I dilute it with sparkling water and that helps.

If you are out there and struggling with managing illness and diet restrictions I feel for you. This is my first and only 'big' set back to eating in my nearly 61 years. So, for that I'm grateful. I won't be weighing for a while while I focus solely on nutrition and healing. I am still logging everything I eat because let's face it, physicians 👩‍⚕️ dig that!

Have a great day folks and focus on your health and healing whatever that looks like to you. 🤗

Clear liquids is really sucky. Hubby has to do that some days.
