Surgery recovery had been going great, outside of the kidney stone situation. I was 3 weeks post op Wednesday. Friday we went on a college tour with my son and I was enjoying being out in the fresh air and walking. I have been trying to slowly increase my steps but am only up to about 4-5k daily. Well, I did 13k Friday. And apparently that was a bad choice. I started bleeding and bled quite a bit, as well as passing some large clots.

It has stopped now, I've tried to rest since then. But a good reminder that recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. I will need to be more careful as I return to work (still a few more weeks, luckily!) and slowly increase my physical activity. I had no pain at all... just some fatigue, so it will be hard to limit myself.

Other than that, I am enjoying this time off work. Tomorrow I am going to start sorting my clothes into keep and get rid of piles. Unfortunately, there won't be much to keep as everything is now too big! I told my husband he needs to be prepared for me to drop some significant amounts of money on new clothes, because I never intend to be a size 22/2-3x again and I'm getting rid of all that stuff!
