WoooHooo! Day 3 of this weeks fast, worked this morning then came home and grabbed the hubby and we went on a 300.00 grocery shopping trip. I had meal plans for my eating days, found a buncha good sales they actually had food on the shelves this time. Today being the 5th they had time to restock. Folks around here live mostly on SS and Disability, so the 1st through the 3rd they completely wipe out the stock in the one real grocery store. We have a Super Walmart in Swainsboro, but it will be a cold day in Hell before I walk back into one of those, I have boycotted them since Mother's Day 2022, Lowe's is next on my "I'm gonna do business with small family owned businesses because they actually give you service list" I have issues with being forced to use self-checkouts, and not having anyone to assist reaching things stacked on 10 foot shelves or to answer questions. We pay high prices anyway, what's a few more bucks to have a human check you out and bag your groceries or load something heavy for you. Anywhooo, nother soapbox rant there. I feel good, we went through the store twice....Hubby bought Doggo ice-cream 🤣🤣🤣, I've never seen such. They don't get treats often, so I don't begrudge them a cold treat. He did not throw any snack cakes or chips into the buggy, I was surprised so I asked him about them....he says "We don't need that crap in the house." 💕💕💕 I love that man! So tomorrow morning is break-fast, I'm stocked up, refrigerator is humming along, part came in yesterday, he installed it last night and it's working great! So a peachy day! Ya'll have a good one!!!

Yeah, I don't hate folks who shop at Wal-Mart, I just hate Wal-Mart! LOL! And I have discovered since I don't shop there anymore, our local Food Lion carries so much more selection than they do, it's smaller quantities so they sell out of things rather quickly but they also restock quickly. You get used to not being able to find what you want at Wal-Mart and simply choose something else instead. Food Lion carries my favorite coffee, my favorite creamer has higher quality meats and produce, 5 registers manned with both a checkout person and a bagger/carry out person. I have never been in there when there were more than 3 customers in a single line that help did not show up and start up another register. Always pleasant shopping there! Stock up Sara! I almost did not take the time to post today, it's a mundane Saturday and not really very interesting as far as sharing stories goes.I always look forward to your posts also, because while you say we inspire you, well it goes the other way too, you inspire me and together we can all reach our goals because a burden shared is a burden that is lighter and easier to handle. Want to get somewhere quicker? Follow the ones who have walked in your shoes. That is what I was always taught!

Omg yes I must go grocery shopping today because I just told my hubby I didn't want to eat out no more yesterday and he just came through this door with Kfc chicken tenders and coleslaw and buscuit says I'm picking up dinner and I tried to get the lowest carbs and calories items. My eyes the look I just gave him must have been crazy Bec he says we'll eat this today and go grocery shopping and then tomm start our not eating out as much as possible. So I did feed the dog part of mine and tried to eat only enough to get me full and not hungry the rest of the day.. kudos to you Debra for your hubby not buying snacks and stuff. Mine weighs 160pounds soaken wet very skinny his legs no meat on them all bone and can eat whatever he wants and does without Gain weight but he is trying more to help me. Here lately if I say let's fix this he's reading the boxes to see if I can have it.

Oh I despise Walmart but it's our only option since we have no doctor office and no grocery store in our small rural town and have to drive 10min to the next city to go to Walmart. I hate going there and only go when I have to mostly go to the dollar store in my town and that's why I shop all at once usually when I do go to Walmart.

It's a learning curve for both of you sweetie, thank goodness he is making the effort! I take a fork and scrape off the breading on the chicken tenders, let hubby eat the biscuit and I rinse the coleslaw with a little Apple Cider vinegar and drain it and then eat it without all of the sweet creamy slaw dressing. It takes a flavor hit but I like tangy and some of the other dressing has soaked into the cabbage and carrots, but it's less sugar than what it started with. Like I said before, do what you can to make what is in front of you healthier. You can also remind hubby that KFC offers grilled chicken options that are better...not optimal...but better for you than the fried versions. Don't sweat it Sara, you are doing fine!
