Hello FS Warriors!! I hope you guys are having as wonderful a day as I had! We went to Alma Ga to pick up the bike, when we got the bike loaded, the nice man who was cleaning out his deceased father's home of 50 years refused my money. He said he was glad to get it out of his way and was happy it would continue to be helpful to someone. He credited the bike with his fathers quick recovery from hip replacement surgery. So I got a lovely free bike for the cost of a ride in the country. There was a little Freedom festival going on in a tiny town we rode through, so we stopped and walked the booths, watched a few contests and the kids playing on the HUGE inflatable water slides, they were having a blast. I left my phone in the car so of course I did not get any pictures, we got really hot walking around (heat index here at 2:30 was 103. We rode to the next town, somewhat larger and hubby was hungry. I was three hours away from my 72 hour mark. I said sure, let's go someplace they have a salad bar. We found a Shoney's on the next intersection so we went inside and had lunch/dinner. I made me a big veggie salad with the available selection then went to the buffett table to locate some protein and WOW! They actually had unbreaded baked chicken and some natural au juice sirloin patties. They had all the battered, fried and gravy smothered selections too. I was so good, I did not even give them a second glance. I put a small chicken breast on top of my salad and got one of the 4 oz (I asked) chopped sirloin patties and that was my meal, along with a glass of unsweetened tea. I ate, I was full and happy that I was able to bypass all of the sweet stuff on the salad bar and all the creamy comfort food on the steam table. On the down side, I had not stepped on the scale today so I have no post fast/pre refeed weight. 😢 But DH had been so good to come with me, load the bike, walk the festival and he had not eaten all day and was hungry. I can make a sacrifice of a few hour less fasting to make our outing enjoyable and not a chore for him. I had no embarrassing noises escape me while in public, that is a blessing! I got the bike set up in the bedroom and rode for five minutes. I had a full tummy so that was just making sure the seat was adjusted correctly and my legs made the full extension on the down pedal. So now we are under a heat advisory till Monday and we are hiding indoors. I'm pleased with myself, I ate at a buffet and stayed within my macros and still under my RDI. But feeding time is over so that is my only meal today. You guys have a great weekend!

Sounds like you had a wonderful day! ...and got the bike for free... What a blessing!!! Nice job being able to control yourself at the buffet! It's truly awesome what keto can do for people like us. 😁
