My neighbor made me an East Indian yogurt dish last night called Raita it is made with full fat yogurt and a variety of spices depending on the family, region, etc. hers was yougurt, shredded ENGLISH or PERSIAN cucumbers, cumin TOASTED MUSTARD SEEDS. There was an ever so slight sweetness in the background (not sugar) but I don’t know what it is. I always ask for recipes but she doesn’t use them. Now she will be making it for me every week till I die. RAITA is served as a side dish, or a condiment as in drizzling a bit over roasted carrots. Tonight I used it as a salad dressing. I may never eat another type of dressing ever again. I highly recommend that anyone interested should use your GOOGLE skills and check out the different options. I’m posting a simple recipe that I found and the macros. This could really be a great addition to almost anyone’s WOE.
