TAKING RESPONSIBILITY - I had a really crazy dinner last night - hubby prepared a really awesome dish. He knows I don't eat rice and potatoes, etc. but here he goes working his a#* off cooking when I got in from work. He said "oh you can have this, there's nothing in here that will hurt you. I almost tried to fake a stomach or headache so I wouldn't eat. I wasn't strong enough to just have the chicken and veggies - I also had two cups of brown rice. Of course my carbs were through the roof! I am not blaming him - I served myself - twice :( I know he means well - but this is so about me right now.

SO-when I got up this morning, took the dog for a nice walk and gathered myself. Guess what I'm saying is I know I have to take responsibility for myself no matter what. I ATE IT; IT'S OVER AND NOT THE END OF THE WORLD: TODAY IS A BRAND NEW DAY DEVOTED TO ME!! Whoooo - I feel better!

Hey do not beat yourself up, learn from it and go on. I accepted your buddy request. I had a goof day yesterday as well and plan to be better prepared next time. I just need a better cooler to take "on the road with me" as we have been at or near 100 every day for the last two weeks.

That is HOT! Supposed to get hot-"for us" this weekend in the high 80s/ low 90s around beaches, higher in the valleys. Your cooler idea is great - I need to think about doing that as well. That way always prepared! Enjoy your weekend - stay cool!

It would be nice if just once we didn't have to take responsibility for our actions but as we well know life doesn't operate that way. It would also be nice to have people around you that truly know how desperately we want to lose weight without any added temptations but life work that way either. Know your DH was wanting to provide you with something special and hey, he did use brown rice, bless his heart. Today is new day...let's rejoice and be glad with it. Life goes on and you will continue to make progress in the direction you intended. I believe in you.

There's 2 sides to every coin...if you don't have to take responsibility for your missteps, you don't get to take credit for your successes, either. Shake it off & keep omoving forward girl!

You'll find your way through this. I used to have a problem saying "no" to DH when he wanted to go out to eat. I was just so thrilled he even asked(!) that I'd always say, "Sure!" even if I wasn't hungry or had just eaten something an hour beforehand. You'll find the solution...you want to keep him doing those really nice special things for you, you just want to adjust it slightly. :)

Shake it off and move on. Some days will be harder than others to be completely committed. It isn't like we are going to get kicked out of the club for making a mistake.

Very sweet of your husband! I think if my husband made dinner (which he NEVER does), I'd probably eat it also. Like you said, tomorrow's another day devoted to you.
