Oh to have baby soft skin again like your GD...How old is your daughter (I'm assuming that's her)? And what face cream is everyone using to ward off wrinkles? ⚗️🔬⚛️⚕️🪄

She is 48. My son will be 50 in November ( I was a very young Mom). My granddaughter is 15.

My granddaughter did have some skin breaking out for awhile, but I noticed it seems to have cleared up & like you said she has a peaches & cream complexion.

LOL - I thought your GD was 21-22 (in college, taking a film course), and that she just was maintaining perfect skin 😄 . Sigh. If I could go back in time, I would obey the laws of sunscreen!

Bananas, she has her own YouTube channel & has a screen writing coach. She will be a Junior this year (skipped 9th grade) & is doing duel enrollment for college courses. She hopes to attend SCAD after she graduates.

She would make a lot more connections if she went to UCLA. In showbiz, writing talent is important, but attending the parties and meeting directors is crucial. She'll need to be where the action is. Also at UCLA she'll be in classes with future directors, who through family & friend connections, already know producers to fund the film projects. 💰💵

That may be true. I have a local friend who's daughter went to school in North Carolina. She's a writer on a popular TV show. She does live in LA now. There are actually a lot of movies, TV shows etc. filmed in Georgia.

Where the location scouts choose to film gets decided long after the manuscript is purchased. The director is hired, financing secured, lead actors chosen, re-writes to the script, and then finally the director looks for the locations. Georgia offers tax incentives for filming, which is why producers like it. The screenwriter may claim the setting is in GA, but the movie could be shot in TN or on a Hollywood lot.

My Granddaughter is very interested in animated movies. That's what her You Tube site is...animated characters. We have other friends who's daughter attended SCAD (graphic arts) & now has a great job in New York. My point is California may be the big movie mecca, but it's not the only route to success. And yes, Georgia offers great tax incentives so there are movies actually filmed here. We actually have had one filmed here in our small town & one fairly close (Clint Eastwood). I don't know if my Graddaughter would want to go to California for school, but I do know my DIL won't want her to.

california is a pretty toxic place, TBH. she'll find her way to where she needs to be.

If she's interested in animation, then the school founded by Walt Disney is the way to go: California Institute of Arts. Famous graduates include Tim Burton (Nightmare Before Christmas), Brad Bird (The Incredibles), Joe Ranft (Toy Story), Brenda Chapman (Lion King), Pete Docter (Monsters, Inc.), Chris Buck (Frozen), the list goes on & on. You increase your chances of success if you are taught by the best and who already have direct ties to producers. Here's your link: https://filmvideo.calarts.edu/alumni#top
