so my school has a spa upstairs for the esthiology students, where they do facials and massages and stuff. i decided to get a facial with my birthday money, so i'm going to do that tomorrow. i'm excited! i have terrible, oily, acne-prone skin, so it'll be wonderful to learn how to better care for that. plus i also am considering coming back to aveda in a few years to get licensed for esthiology so it'll be nice to see how things work and what to expect!

this week is also the last week of school until january, so i'm gonna do my best to be ultra prepared and give 100% to my clients and timed drills. part of the reason i love aveda so much as a school is because they teach us to go the extra mile with our clients and make their experiences in our chairs as pampering and relaxing as possible, and i want to perform at the top of my game this last week and make people look beautiful for the holidays, as well as feel relaxed and pampered. i know how stressful this time of year can be and i want to help people feel their best! that's why i got into this industry.

even though i havent noticed a whole lot of weight loss, per se, i definitely have noticed a change in my energy when i stick to mindful eating and exercise, which is great. i am way more interested in health than i am weight loss, and i know once i get to the level of health i need to be at, the weight will come off. i'm gonna keep sticking to it!
