I'm becoming concerned about being ready for the tri in June. My knees have not been enjoying the running. Had to abandon my workout today because they were becoming too sore. I'll take a few days off and then go to the running shoe store and get fitted with some proper shoes and see if that helps.

good idea! there's no reason to suffer with sore knees. I bet they can help you. Are they sore on the front or side or?
Is it a sprint or olympic distance?

They're sore in front, under the kneecaps. Doesn't seem like it's an impact thing. I have no pain while standing or walking but I do on stairs or when running. The tri is a sprint, so I suppose I can walk the running portion if I need to.

Hope they are able to help you out, so you can get back out there! I'm sure you will do just fine in your Tri, I know for me it would actually doing it that matters more than what place I take.
