Been spending a few days at our son's house. Hubby went to the doctor on Friday and is scheduled for a hip replacement on May 4th. Wish it was sooner, but we'll just have to literally limp along until then. Poor guy! He is in a lot of pain. I went to the dentist this morning and began the procedure for a dental implant of a lower molar. I had a very scary reaction to the numbing injection. My heart raced and pounded, short of breath and very shaky and jittery. Made my chest hurt. Didn't last too long thank goodness. The numbness lasted 10 hours, but just wore off about an hour ago so now my jaw and face are really hurting. It may be a long night if I can't get to sleep. Tomorrow our youngest grandchild gets her braces removed, so we're having a little "No more Brace Face" celebration! She is really excited! After that Hubby and I will head back to the Funnyfarm. I will weigh in the following morning. I have eaten more carbs while we've been here.

What a great idea to have a "No More Brace Face" celebration! I'll have to remember to do that when my eleven year old granddaughter gets hers off! I had a dental implant, and the worst part was having that darn post visible. It really made my self-image take a hit. It was in my "eye tooth" so it was visible when I smiled. They made me the temporary things with the fake tooth, but you couldn't EAT with them in, so they weren't any good for actually going out to social occasions. GLAD that's all behind mem now. VERY scary reaction to the numbing injection! So glad it didn't last long!

Get the numbing without epinephrine that’s what gave you the reaction. This happened to me too and now I request numbing without epinephrine
