well this is my first time on here since 2011.
rereading all my old journals, my life has changed so much. i'm currently five months away from being a graduate from Aveda Institute, which is a cosmetology and esthiology school.
i still waver back and forth between vegetarian/veganism and omnivorous eating.
i've been single for the past year... up until literally a few days ago, anyways haha.

in between the last journal and now, i've started college, quit college, got engaged and almost moved to another country, realized i was in a really unhealthy relationship, and finally figured out what i really want out of life. i've spent the past year working as a hairstyling student and staying single on purpose, so i can concentrate on my career and life.

Being an Aveda student has been an amazing experience. Aveda is very much a lifestyle salon/spa. Their products are all natural and organic, including hair products, skin care, makeup, aromatherapy and perfume, nails, and even a line of tea(which tastes AMAZING). their color line is also natural and nourishing to hair, even the lightener. the school also has a recycling program and provides jobs to people in other countries where they get their ingredients from. being in an environment like this has made a huge change in my life and humbled me a lot.

i know, and i've known all my life, that i want what i do in life to help others. what i ultimately want is to work in or help run/own a wellness center, one that is a salon and spa as well as something to do with nutrition and health. in all my old journals, and growing up in general, i had terrible self esteem, and i went through a lot before i could really look inside and say that i loved myself. i want other people to not have to go through things like that, i want them to feel happy and beautiful and love themselves inside and out. however, in order to be a life coach of sorts such as that, i have to live that part, and that means i need to be in shape.

so, consider this my return, i guess. nice to be back.
