I will not be recording my points for the last two days because NO ONE (including me)

wants to know.

Hubbs took me on a trip to Amish country for our five year anniversary. It was a BLAST. :) We haven't been away without the kids in over a year, and it was an amazing time rediscovering our love and friendship.
Kind of a reminder of why we're together in the first place. :) He asked me (very nicely) if I would mind going off diet for friday and saturday so I did.

I checked on the scale this morning and I have definitely gained. It's a little disappointing but, overall, I wouldn't have traded our time together for anything. This week (starting today) is back on target. I hope the gain won't be too severe by my weigh-in on Tuesday. Okay, one more day without the kids.... so I'm going to stop messing around on FS.

Love you guys! :)

Actually recording points even when it is not a good day helps but it is hard to see how much we actually do eat sometimes. How many points??? Eeeek! I AM so glad you had a memorable time with hubby away from the kiddies. Now, the trip is over and you will be, as you say, back on target. Good for you. :-)

Im SOO glad you had fun! I think it also shows him how much you love him because you went off diet for him. We become so diet, food, points obsessed sometimes that we dont see it while others around us are thinking "i dont CARE how many points are in a banana!" =) Keep in mind they give us the flex points each week so we CAN indulge when needed. (When I went to Ireland I ate so many plates of Fish And Chips....I never even TRIED to find out the points value. I just enjoyed the trip and the culture and put the diet on hold) For future trips with the hubby, try this, go off diet but still be active. That activity sometimes really helps!

I agree with Owndisaster. On vacation, if you can't eat right, try and balance it out with activity. I'm actually going on vacation this week so I'll have to practice what I preach. I'm glad you and your husband had a great time. Well deserved! : )

YAY that you had a fabulous trip with your husband!! You are a mom and definitely need a break once in a while like that!! :) We all have those days where the points skyrocket and we don't even want to know how many points we have consumed... even on those days, I still try to track it as best as I can and it really helps to put the week into perspective for me. I recognize when I've gone off the plan and know that the rest of the week needs to be better. Just go on some long walks before you weigh in and Im sure you will be FINE! Let's face it- we ALL deserve to have some days off. Weight Watchers isn't a "diet", it is a lifestyle, so we can balance those off days with better ones!! xoxox
