Here I am on what actually amounts to day 18 of my LCHF lifestyle and here are a few of my observations.

My energy levels are better, I am not done in by 4pm anymore.
My hair has taken on a high shine, friends and customers are commenting on how glossy it has become.
My skin is not dry or scaly and the fine lines around my eyes seem to be filling in. They are not as deep.
My fingernails are growing like crazy.

I wore my hair pulled back in a band away from my face and my customers asked me if I had a facelift.

So apparently the change in my diet is just as noticeable in my hair, skin and nails as my weight loss which is actually at 20.8 pounds since September 17 when I started. I had some issues setting up FS so all of this does not show on my bio page. 20 pounds gone, 11 inches gone, hair and skin regaining vitality....I'm tickled pink :)

Dear Debra, I am also doing the lchf diet. Are you testing for ketones? I can't seem to get into a measurable state of ketosis. Any suggestions?

Jeread I am not testing for ketones other than noting that my urine smells a bit different and I have a funky taste in my mouth which I am getting used to. I am on a budget and it does not have the capacity for testing strips. I used them way back when I first did Atkins so it's just kind of like I know, and I also know that if my net carbs stay below 20, I will stay in Ketosis, just from experience.
