I'm hanging out in the 169 - 171 range, I'm wearing a loose size 10, and some size 8's which was my goal for clothing size (I'm 6 feet tall). I only lost about 18 lbs but I went from a tigh size 14 to a loose size 10. I lost a good bit of body fat and gained some muscle in the process.
I'm slowly getting leaner and adding more muscle in all the right places. I continue to weight train because I don't want to get skinny lanky look that tall people can get. I want to maintain my nice hard earned muscle because it keeps my metabolism burring at a high rate. I'm moving very slow with the weight loss because I do not want to loose an ounce of muscle, I'm burning up body fat.
I may try dieting down some in the month of April.
I've been maintaining this weight while eating dark chocolate and cashews which are very high in fat and calories. I am considering eliminating these foods from my diet over the next 6 weeks to lower my fat intake. This should knock a few pounds off if I replace part of those calories with fresh fruits and vegetables, and healthy fats like flax seeds, fish with omega 3's and nuts like almonds and walnuts, and avocados.
I am so grateful to be able to loose weight during this time, my doctor just told me last week that my lab work shows that I am in menopause. God has answered a direct prayer for me regarding this issue. I am experiencing mild hot flashes on occasion, and I believe that's because of my decent eating and good workout habits. (The eating can still improve)
I really need to start logging my food again. I'm going to pray for discipline and direction on this topic while in church today and throughout this week! :-)
