tr3vi28's Journal, 02 November 2021

using my journal to vent today as I'm angry but don't know at who or what🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️. thanks to @kenna for all your wonderful advice. Saw my last dr for foot injury final diagnosis is it is in fact a venous malformation, what happened partial thrombosis from ruptured vessel due to strain from high impact excersices & too many massage plus improper shoes👞 solution 1 injecting viens to improve discoloration and shrink them to relieve some pain then be on blood thinners for a while or a no procedure and do a baby aspirin regimen for life to avoid blood clots on that vien discoloration will be permanent. her words I can't make you any more better than you are I will suggest monitoring for now cleared to work part time atleast, no high impact excersices, no heels, no rubbing foot adapt to your new self😔 but I really liked her really informative and knowledgeable answered all my questions and took her time with me. meanwhile in the last 6 months I went up 10 lbs from not enough activity after so much work I'm just trending upwards this is really killing my mood and possiblities of staying positive 😢 working on acceptance😒

I learned in therapy that anger usually comes from frustration. That sure has been true for me! The trick is, learning to deal with the frustration before it turns to anger. I still struggle with being able to do that, but have gotten better at it. I get frustrated with physical limitations sometimes. Is that what you are feeling? In your bio you said you lost a bunch of weight with keto and IF. What is IF?

Did the Dr recommend a particular kind of shoes? Just curious.

I am in therapy once a week for the last 4 months if I wasn't it would be way worse I think 🤔 yes I think it is physical limitations can be so depressing especially when you're still young 😔 IF is intermittent fasting you fast for period of time and leave yourself an 8 hr window to eat you can start with 10 hrs fast than 12 than 16 and so on slowly work your way up not safe for everyone you have to be careful with certain health conditions 😊 as for shoes there was a podiatrist who gave me some insert that had been making matters worse so she recommended I go back to using Sketchers with memory foam.

I'm sorry you have to go thru this.

Swimming seems like it would be a good option for you if you have access to a pool or gym facility with one. Not only is it good exercise but for me it is like a mental vacation. I just zone out and the rest of the world just goes away.

Exercise related injuries are no joke and FS has certainly seen it’s fair share recently.

Read up on IF. It is not the same for women as for men.

Like Kenna said do swimming and you can also do upper body exercises. Also maybe leg curls if you don't go too heavy. I'm sorry you're going through this

Kenna, I will try the swimming there's a ymca 5 minutes away from my house it was also reccommended for my fibromyalgia but I will definitely miss walking, jogging and running 😔 They were a huge part of my weightloss success. Yea being active has it's good and bads🤷‍♀️ Any input on which treatment I should opt for?

Thank you 😊

Low impact exercise can get you the same results in combination with diet. You can modify your activities without making your feet suffer.

Really would have to try it and see I'm always on the go the only low impact activity I've done and enjoy is yoga and sometimes weight lifting

I may have missed this in a prior comment... 2 thing I'd like to mention. 1. if you can and you feel the need- get a second opinion. Inquire about the Baby Aspirin - Recently there has been soon news about the changes in the use of them. Hoping you are on the mend.

This is my second opinion from a Radiologist specialized in venous malformation and AVM and literally 9th doctor that treats the foot 🤷‍♀️ ran out of options. Yes I heard the new studies on the baby aspirin and how is not really beneficial that's why I haven't started it my PCP recommend maybe I'd try it when flying or on long car rides where the risk are higher and not as an everyday thing. But I've also seen the side effects on blood thinners my mom was on them after having pulmonary embolism for a while sooo🙄🤔🤔 I don't know maybe being in the health field and knowing all the ins and outs is not a good thing after all. Of course I had speculations that this was related to the Moderna Covid vaccine but they don't agree I mean I'm about to be 37 in 3 days if I was born with it noticing now is a bit late🤔🤔

So sorry for your troubles Tr3. I agree with Kenna, try swimming. I promise, you can get as good a workout as with running, and your ankle will thank you. Good luck on your journey. 💜💚💛

I have an avm in my brain. There is an AVM web site. It is called AVM survivors. There are different groups on there. Including extremities. Check it out. Lots of support on there.
