Well today was my first "long run" Saturday. I did 4 miles on a local metro parks trail. Went running with a girlfriend of mine who is faster than me!!! hahah That made it a little difficult for me to do the whole thing without stopping to walk (I walked for about 2mins around the 2.5 mile marker) but, hey, at least I finished. I'm still really excited about my first weigh-in. I am feeling SO GOOD. Last night I ate some of my favorite favorite pizza and was able to just eat a small amount without pigging out. That was huge for me. Usually I eat really fast and way too much.
I realized today that there is no other way around it: in order to maintain a healthy weight, I'm going to have to re-define the way I eat and the way I think about food. It stinks.. I wish I could be one of the women with the rocket-fuel metabolisms... but that's just not reality. Oh well.. I can make it work!!! :)

With your new mind set and your exercise program you bet you can make it work. It is all mental, what we tell ourselves we can do or cannot do~~~is what we do. I am right there with you wishing I was one of those "freaks of nature", those who can eat whatever and burn it right off, sometimes without even trying. However that is not our reality, FS is our reality, and how lucky are we to have this resource and all these wonderful people on it. Keep that mindset you have. :-)
