FitOKay's Journal, 13 June 2014

I'm setting my scale aside... and my intake tracking. I've done this befor when I got stressed, but when I did it I wasn't still trying to loose weight. This time I want to go back to how I started this year's weight loss off. I logged in on Feb 3rd and weighed myself... then took a couple weeks of no tracking, no weighing just trying to eat reasonably and less. I logged back in on Feb 20th and weighed 2lbs less. Obviously not an amazing loss, but a loss and from there I started tracking and steadily went down. I want to sort of re-jump start my weight loss from this point. I weighed 149lbs yesterday. I'm going to take the next week or two to just try and watch what I'm eating(visually, not tracking) and eat more reasonably and see where I am in a couple weeks. In the past when I've not tracked (and not tried to loose weight) I've always stayed the same weight within a pound so (I've not gained weight outside of pregnancy in my adult life). So my assumed worse case scenario is that my weight would stay the same, but hopefully the next weigh in will be a couple pounds lighter =)

Unlike the first time I did this, I will still be journaling. Trying to listen to how my body is feeling from one day to the next and adjust for that without the stress of the calorie numbers added to the equation.

Happy Friday the 13th everyone ;-) Hope you all have a great weekend =)

This seems like a really good idea. Sometimes I find myself getting really obsessed with 'tracking'. What I can eat, what I have eaten, what the scale says. Going with your intuition feels like something that doesn't need to be managed as much. Thus, less stress ;-) It seems like it will be more organic. Hope this process is very successful for you in all the ways you want it to be.
