Every time I do the calf extension at the gym, my calf muscles really burn afterwards. It almost feels like a mild sprain, but then I will stretch it out, and it will immediately get better. Because of this, I've been paying special attention to stretching my calf muscles before I lift, along with all my other stretches. I feel sore after lifting, but for some reason, my calves get the worst of it. Today was my break day, though. I have so far been lifting every other day faithfully since I started the weight lifter's challenge. I've been definitely busy, though, installing cabinets in my bedroom, finishing putting together my new queen-size memory foam bed (it's like sleeping on a pillow!), and starting to put lighting on the underside of the cabinets. I'm tossing out about half my furniture and replacing it--the only problem is that I still have all the old furniture and all the trash and boxes from the new furniture cluttering things up. I guess it's time to get rid of the old stuff on Craigslist or something...

I guess I'm updating my house and my body at the same time! :-)

Well, yeah! You gotta have a castle fit for the amazing, new you! You probably already do this, but I was advised you need to warm up a little before stretching (like walking 10-15 minutes). Keep up the great work! I've been doing the weights every other day, too. I get a much better workout, I feel, on the machines at school than the bands, but that's my only option on non-school days.
