...because after 2 1/2 hours of heavy lifting, sometimes you've gotta make sacrifices! 💪🏻😉

I've never tried a pizza with alfredo sauce. This is a Papa John's Garlic Parmesan crust with chicken, spinach, and romano/alfredo sauce - I'm impressed! And only $11 😁

I think I've been in a surplus or at least maintenance since the weekend. Slowly turning it around now that all the pop tarts, cookies, etc are gone. I think I got it out of my system. As long as I don't gain a lot this will be two years in a row that the winter didn't affect me so even maintenance is a win. I'm doing more than that in my opinion though. Never been this lean at 185-190.

Principessa is awake! :( Poor girl. Does this mean we are gymin' together again?

Idk. Woke up dehydrated. If I go back to sleep now, I can still be up at 5 so I better try. I'll be up 2# in the morning.

Hmmm... I've been doing that secondary pump crap but maybe not enough. I'm not sold on that theory and definitely unable to see changes in just a week's time. Goodnight boys! 😘 for D. 👋🏻 for Chris. I hope that's a waving hand. :p

Also I don’t know how you people get to spend 2+ hours at the gym?

Wow. Even if I had time, exhausting myself everyday and compensating with ibuprofen sounds really not appealing ☺️ People are so used to basic meds like ibuprofen or paracetamol that they forget how dreadful it is for a lot of organs even if they eliminated rather quickly. No rest days for you at all? (I know some people think that rest days are not needed, I am just curious)

I rest once a week and no ibuprofen for me. 1-1.5 hour workouts, usually on the higher end.

We can't be TST without exhausting ourselves on the daily. Right, Chris?

My sweet spot is 4-5/week but I can do only 3. Exhausted too but taking ibuprofen on a regular basis seems like..extreme?
23 Jan 20 by member: velvetee
I wouldn't do it since it reduces inflammation and that is a good thing when building muscle. I don't know of it's dangers with long term use since I have never had to look it up.

I love it too. Some people may find it an extreme, it isn't to me. I avoid extremes unless it is for an experiment.

Yeah, once a week doesn't sound bad at all.

I posted a study that ibuprofen doesn't affect muscle growth. Unsure how true. That was many months ago. I go 6 days a week, V. For 1 hour. And two-3 for cardio at night with lifting a.m. Your schedule is way more busy than mine. I'm in a good place right now where I can do it. Last year at this time, work was 56-60 hours a week and there was no time or interest so now that I have the time, I use it on me. 💪🏼❤️

It’s not about muscle growth but its impact on kidneys/liver, mostly. It's “ hepatoxic ” more that people think. That said once a week seems ok (but it’s 400mg max here whilst I’ve seen 800 elsewhere which is considered toxic in France). I don’t particularly enjoy working out but I love the benefits enough to be consistent. Love feeling sore too actually ☺️ my schedule does suck, I have to wake up at 5.30am latest to be able to wrap a 1h15 workout including the shower 😢

Yes V... Ibuprofen starts at a 200 mg dose but in some situations will be prescribed up to 800 mg which can cause a lot of issues long term. I assume the doctor weighs the benefits and risks. I take it occasionally for headaches or cramps but thankfully we are a house free of medical ailments.
