Najwa, many people on this site to not use the app you have to pay for, they don't think it is worth the money. I use my Kindle and use the website, and sometimes I use the free app on my phone. People on FS follow many different WOE (ways of eating), it is important that you find a way that works for you and that you can live with for a long time. I count calories and average 1500-1600 per day. I have no food restrictions, I eat whatever I want, as long as it fits within my RDI (recommended daily intake), and I have been losing steadily for the last ten months. Be sure to log everything you eat, it will help you learn what works for you. Good luck on your journey.
