It’s official. My Holliday season has started. Today was a trip to the foothills of the mountains for apple picking. I ended up with 16 lb of apples (4 different varieties). If you ever come across an Arkansas Black or a King David be sure to get them or at least sample them. I probably ate close to 2 apples just tasting all the varieties and sipping the different apple ciders made from some of those varieties. Then we went to one of the cafes where I split a BLT and order of fries with another gal. Thennnnn—- dessert was apple treats of every conceivable kind. One of the gals and I were going to just split a piece of apple pie but then there was some confusion and the waitress brought one piece of pie (huge) topped with vanilla ice cream (huge) and 3 spoons. She was so kind. And we ate it.
Dinner tonight was home made cheesy cauliflower potato soup that I made last night and an apple.
Not even going to try to do a nutritional on what I ate today. I can’t count that high. I’m going to waddle up the stairs to bed and sink into a carb and fat coma. 2 days without swimming is a killer— will be so glad to hit the water and then hike in the afternoon at the beach.

Many of the apples will get packaged and given to the gals who have been so kind to share the wonderful bounty from their yards this season. I have eaten such delicious fresh fruits and vegetables this year.
